Who created Spiderspun?
By an Alpha-1 patient, Noreen James.

When was Spiderspun created?
Spiderspun was officially online October 18th, 2000.  Noreen was about to have a lung surgery on October 27th, 2000 due to a genetic deficiency called Alpha-1-Antitrypsin Deficiency. Thus, she designed the web site to begin an Alpha-1 blog.

Why the name Spiderspun?
Noreen's husband, Lar, nicknamed her "spider" in the 1980's. This was the first web site she ever built, so she called it Spiderspun.
