Bikelungs 10/10/05 My sister, Diane, just died on Monday, October 10, 2005, at 1:00 pm. In Las Vegas. She was 47, a year older than me. She had a double lung transplant about 18 months ago. Rejection and infections. So it goes. And she's gone. She leaves behind her husband, and 3 pretty wonderful boys. Young men now. All out of school. One in the military. This past year, she was sick so much of the time. Her breathing scared me. Years ago she smoked. And her husband smokes. I don't think that helped much. I don't smoke. Of 8 siblings, 3 of us are zz. The youngest three. My sister was a twin. Her sister isn't sick yet. But, she still smokes sometimes! |
