12/01/01 I was diagnosed with Alpha-1 in November 1998.  I was tested for this because my sister had recently been diagnosed with this.  I was 37 years old when I was diagnosed.  I am being treated right now with inhalers (Advair, 250/50, Proventil).  Some days breathing seems to pose more of a problem than other days.
