6/8/2006 Over tens years ago l lost my sister with AAT deficiency. She developed liver problems and needed a lung transplant 2 years after transplant rejection set in she past away some weeks later. She was a very brave lady.

For some months l have had problems with my breathing one of my lungs collapsed and infection after infection so l had some tests done including AAT and the phenotype. Today l received the results that showed l do have the deficiency. After watching what my sister went through l am now very scared and want to research this medical condition inside and out.
