Janet Willey a.k.a. Jan

I live in Michigan.

I am a Flute Repair Specialist.

My favorite color is Lilac

I enjoy classical music, playing piano and trying to use this computer.

11/29/02 I had to find out about Alpha-1 from a nurse at the hospital because I had an idiot for a Dr. I asked to be tested and for my son to be tested because of some asthma he was having. He came back and told me we both had Alpha-1 but it was no big deal. I went home and read all I could find and called all the people I could. When I went back I asked him about prolastin and lung reduction surgery and transplant and he had no answers except not to be too concerned. I then asked him if it was odd that an adopted son have Alpha-1 and he was very surprised. I had never told him my son was adopted. (it turned out he does not have Alpha-1) To make a long story short, I have a wonderful Dr now and we are trying to get a lung transplant but my body doesn't want to cooperate and I am not sure if they will take the risk. My son right now is battling testicular cancer (he is 31) so I have put things on hold anyway. I would love to hear from anyone who wants to e-mail me, but I am just learning to use the computer so I am very slow, and I do have a lot of hospital stays so sometimes takes a while to answer back. Hope to meet you all in chat sometime.

Remember to smile,

Jan W.
