Jim Dudley I live in the Missouri Ozarks. I am retired from the Heating & Air industry. My favorite movies are Cool Hand Luke or The Shootist. My favorite music is anything but Rap, although I play Country. My favorite pastime is motorsickles, guitars, huntin, fishin, & breathin. I have a beagle named Spunky and a bulldog named Ruffus. My favorite quote "The battle is won in the mind before the first blow is thrown."
1/12/2007 Bare with me as I one finger this! Came home from work
one day and fell on the floor. It took them three hours to bring me back
around, said I almost died. The doctor at the hospital, Dr Gram, ran
some test and found I had Alpha-1. I had never heard of it, but when
they explained it as you all know, it took my breath away and its been
gone ever since. It's been a couple years now and my breathing keeps
getting worse. I don't know how to respond to my friends and family
anymore when they ask that question, "How are you today??" "Pretty good
if I could breath" is my latest. I hate being a whine bag and I don't
want to be pitied. They can't understand I'm in a different world now, a
world of fear and peace. Kinda like the old Indian that wanted to go lay
on their stick bed high in the sky. Now I'm not saying I want to die,
I'm to stubborn for that and what about this house I saved for all my
life to build, or my Harley motorsickle? The line for whose gonna ride
it after I'm gone is gettin longer every day, like buzzards in the sky!!
Where do we go from here? What do we do now? Guess we just keep on
keepin on till the Good Lord takes from us that last breath. For all
things there is a time, at least those of us who has been cursed with
this alpha one bug has this website to chat and ponder on. I don't spend
as much money as I used to. I used to go to Sears monthly to buy the
latest Craftsman tools but now I haven't bought any in years. It's bad
enough their gettin my motosickle, I aint buyin em no more tools!! I
hope this ole hillbilly has made you my brothers and sisters of this
alpha club smile or at least grinned. If you'd like to email me Ill get
back to you. Remember that the secret to life is joy !!! |
