4/12/02 I have just found out that I have AAT deficiency. I have read alot and the AAT deficiency center has helped alot and now I have Liv Veronda as a coordinator too help with so many questions. But I am still so lost on this issue that it scares me, not just for myself but also for my family. I found out that I had emphysema when I was 34 it started too progress so fast that my doctor had me tested for everything possible, she had never even heard of AAT before. One of my other doctor's nurse practitioners was the one who said I should be checked for a gene problem. I've read all the literature I could find, I don't really know what I need now but my coordinator said it would be a good idea to go to this web site. Well thank you! Penny |
