10/7/2003 Hi my name is Margaret.  I am 36 (y/o) this month.  I live in New Zealand in a place called Hastings.  I have 3 children: a 14 yr old, a 9yr old and a 3 yr old.  I live on my own with my children and going through a divorce at the moment.

I have Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.  I found out in March this year (2003).  I am an MZ.   I don't know a lot about it, only what I have read about it on the Internet.  I inherited from my father who passed away in 1986.  I am on 3 inhalers for it: Oxix turbuhaler, Pulnimicort, and Combeivent.

My doctor and my specialist were treating me for other things until they decided to do the blood test for alpha.  I had my kids tested for it.   My 14 yr daughter Jasmine has alpha 1 as well; she is also an MZ.
