Help Stop Congress from Limiting Medicare Home Oxygen Therapy in the 2007 Budget Bill

Action Alert for S.1932

February 1, 2006

Currently there is federal legislation called S. 1932 or the Deficit Reduction Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 2005. This has an amendment which has far reaching impact and could effect our patients immensely. This would, after 36 months, transfer ownership of home oxygen equipment to the Medicare recipient and includes portable home oxygen equipment. This legislation would take effect January 1, 2006 if passed thus all patients having home oxygen equipment placed after Dec. 31, 2005 would fall under this ruling, if the legislation becomes law.

We are asking that you send a letter, email or call your congressional Representative, not Senators Hutchison or Cornyn at this time, asking that they vote NO on S. 1932. Click this link http://capwiz.com/aarc/home/ to use your zip code to find your Representative. You may copy and modify the letter below to send.

Again, please e-mail, call or write your representative as soon as possible and ask them to vote NO on S. 1932.

Thanks!
